Everyone asks “What kind of music do you blues dance to?” Well, blues music, of course!

But what exactly does that mean?

Some of the music that blues musicians might call blues we don’t regularly dance to because we consider them too “pop” or “rock” influenced. We also dance to some jazz music that blues musicians would not call blues because back when blues and jazz music was first being formed the line was a little grey. It can get slightly confusing, especially as the blues dance community is rapidly evolving.
