Wednesdays in April, 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Want to learn some sweet new moves and technique through interesting and fun choreography, and then have a chance to show off what you’ve got to the Blues community?
Join Jenny Sowden for a series of four 1.5 hour classes in which you’ll learn a fun and challenging choreography. On April 26th, you’ll perform the choreography at Friday Night Blues NYC‘s live music night at La Nacional.
Jenny Sowden is an award winning, full-time, international dance instructor based in New York City where she is the managing director of Brooklyn Swings, and organized NYC’s BABBLE for ten years. Jenny has been training in dance for over twenty-five years and teaching for over twenty, with a BA in Dance and Theater from San Diego State University. She has studied 34 different styles of movement including Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, West African, Capoeira, Aikido, Tango, Salsa, Lindy hop, Balboa, and Blues. Her background influences her teaching and general style through musicality, variety, expression and an understanding of body mechanics. Jenny believes the dance floor is a ‘World of Yes,’ where by constantly accepting and being inspired by what happens, creates an amazing place to be. We then take classes in a ‘World of Intention’ to expand our ‘World of Yes.’ Find out more at JennySowden.com.
All levels and experiences are welcomed: veterans will be challenged and green (or blue?!) dancers will be supported! It’s all about learning and having fun in a supportive environment. Whether you’ve done 10,000 fishtails or don’t even know what that is, Jenny will find a way for you to have fun AND look great.
And the best part? It’s only $60 for the entire monthly series if you register before midnight on March 28th! (After March 28th, the price will go up to $70.)
** Due to space limitations, this workshop is limited to 12 people. Don’t miss out – register now! **
Registration deadline is April 1.
