“I do not try to dance better than anyone else.
I only try to dance better than myself.”
- Mikhail Baryshnikov

Fundamentals Fridays before FNB from 8-9
If your brand new to Blues Dancing this is the class for you! In one quick hour we will explain some of the fundamental aspects of Blues such as pulse, weight shifts, connecting to your partner, and connecting to the music. One of the goals of this class is to get you out on the floor for your first night out. It changes a little every day- we might also teach dance etiquette, maybe a turn or two, and options on how to start and end your dances.
Some people choose to take this class more than once until they have fully digested all the concepts presented. Your welcome to join the Xtended Fundamentals class afterwards, even on your first night!
Xtended Fundamentals Fridays before FNB from 9-10
The Xtended Fundamentals class builds on the core concepts learned in the Fundamentals class. This hour will give you more in-depth instruction in a particular area, always related to the topic that is being covered in the Intermediate class.
Intermediate Fridays before FNB from 9-10
The Intermediate class varies from topic to topic each week, though we usually keep a general idea going for a month at a time so that you can build on your skills in a particular area. We do teach specific movements that are a part of the blues vocabulary, but classes at FNBlues will almost always also offer a theory behind the movements. We will teach you to dance through being able to analyze the ‘why’ and ‘how’ things work. We emphasize creativity and historical context. Ultimately, taking class is your vehicle to having even more fun on the dance floor!
